Ten Blake Songs at MTSU

On Thursday, November 30, at 7:30 p.m., the MTSU Women's Chorus will present A Ceremony of Carols, a work by Benjamin Britten. Joining the chorus will be soprano, Jessica Usherwood, Assistant Professor of Music, and oboist, Rebecca Van de Ven, Instructor of Woodwinds, at the University of the South. They will perform Ten Blake Songs by Vaughn Williams. Ten Blake Songs is a song cycle for soprano voice and oboe and was composed over the Christmas period of 1957 by Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872–1958).

The concert will take place at MTSU in Hinton Hall, 1439 Faulkinberry St., Murfreesboro, TN. The concert is free to the public and parking is available at Hinton Hall.
